Our custom built DIY predator proof chicken run & coop. The hardware cloth chicken/poultry enclosure measures 8’x24′ with an 8’x8′ elevated coop. Water & feed is accessible from the exterior of the chicken coop to make it a little easier to refill the chickens food and water. In addition 4 roll-away nest boxes that is also accessible from the exterior makes collecting the eggs daily a bit easier. Solar Powered Chicken Coop The structure is powered at the moment by a single 100w solar panel & 12v Deep Cycle marine battery. 3w LED light bulbs illuminate the exterior and interior of the coop with a flip of a toggle switch. In an attempt to keep the coop bearable during our hot, long summers the chicken coop is also equipped with an 80w exhaust fan that runs off a timer during the hottest times of the day.
